HuiMeng Lotus Garden

The HuiMeng Lotus Festival is held annually from early July to early September at the Ten-Thousand-Mu Lotus Pond in HuiMeng, Luoyang. The Ten-Thousand-Mu Lotus Pond is located in the wetlands of the Yellow River alluvial plain in Kouma Village, HuiMeng Town. The cultivation of lotus flowers in HuiMeng has a long history, with records indicating that large-scale planting began as early as the Eastern Han Dynasty. Today, the HuiMeng Town government leverages these resource advantages to vigorously cultivate lotus flowers. There are now over 30 varieties of lotus, including White Lotus, Bi Jiang Xue, Buddha’s Throne Lotus, and Jiao Rong San Bian... “The breeze sways purple leaves, light dew brushes crimson pods. The pool stays green for this — waiting for my crimson glow.” The white lotus is draped in silver, the Bi Jiang Xue reveals red through white, the Buddha’s Throne Lotus exudes elegance and luxury, while the Jiao Rong San Bian is delicate and enchantingly colorful... A gentle breeze brings waves of lotus fragrance, the blossoms are vividly vibrant, the leaves sway gracefully, and the air is filled with their sweet scent. Fish play among the lotus leaves, birds soar above the pond, creating a natural scene of birds singing, lotuses dancing, and fish swimming.

By Bus: Take the Luoyang–Kouma bus from downtown Luoyang, which runs every 30 minutes.

By Car: Take the Lianyungang–Khorgas Expressway (Mengjin or Luoyang East exit) — Luochang Road — Mengkou (provincial road) to the scenic area.
