The Shuanglong Mountain Primitive Forest Park in Yanshi City is located in the southern mountainous area of Yanshi, approximately 125 kilometers east of the provincial capital Zhengzhou, 40 kilometers west of the ancient capital Luoyang, and adjacent to National Highways 207 and 310 to the north. The Dafu Shuanglong Mountain Primitive Forest Park covers a total area of over 40,000 mu, with a forest coverage rate of 96%. The area boasts abundant plant resources. The park features dense forests, vibrant seasonal colors, stunning spring blossoms, enchanting autumn hues, cool summer breezes, and silver winter snows. Squirrels leap about, mountain birds chirp, rabbits and foxes dart through the woods, while orioles sing and swallows dance. Towering peaks, secluded valleys, high cliffs adorned with murals, and peculiar rocks define the landscape. The area is rich in springs and streams, with babbling brooks that sound like music, deep pools reflecting emerald hues, and waterfalls that spray like pearls. Its unique landforms, vegetation, and climate make Shuanglong Mountain Primitive Forest Park a multifunctional comprehensive park primarily focused on forest tourism, and also offering summer retreats, forest therapy, adventure exploration, and recreational science education.

The park includes adventure zones such as Wolf Cave Valley, forest sightseeing areas like Peach Blossom Stream, natural scenic spots like Echoing Water River, and leisure resorts in Red Rock Valley. There are over 30 natural attractions, including Two-Ghost Wrestling, Stone Ox Lying on the Slope, Goddess Mother Stone, Natural Bathtub, and Heavenly Lion Worshiping Buddha. The interconnected dam system forms a water park that captivates visitors, while the 17-arch ancient-style cave dwellings, known as the “Little Yan’an,” provide a perfect spot for a three- to five-day forest retreat.

Starting from Luoyang, take National Highway 310 eastward to National Highway 207, then head south to Huoshenwa and follow the road toward San-Chang for arrival.
