The Qiao Family Embroidery Tower

The Qiao Family Embroidery Tower is a cultural relic protection unit of Henan Province.

The Qiao Family Embroidery Tower is located in Jiagou Village, Fudian Town, Yanshi City. Built during the Qing Dynasty, it is a three-story brick-and-wood structure measuring 11.2 meters in length, 5.5 meters in width, and 10.8 meters in height. It features a double-slope flush-gable roof with carved patterns and dragon ornaments on the ridge. The eaves are adorned with floral-patterned brick carvings. The wall core is made of adobe with an outer layer of blue bricks. The lower level of the embroidery tower is a brick-arched cave room, the middle level has a floor paved with square bricks, with an en-suite room on the right and a spiral staircase on the left side of the northern area, while the upper level has 0, wooden flooring. The secret room door is located at the back of the embroidery tower, connected to the middle level via a spiral staircase. Outside the southern side of the embroidery tower, there are stone guardrail-style steps. Currently, the overall structure is well-preserved, though the wooden doors and windows show signs of damage, and the spiral staircase handrails have some missing parts.

The Qiao Family Embroidery Tower provides valuable physical material for the study of Qing Dynasty embroidery tower architectural styles. It holds significant historical and cultural value for researching Qing Dynasty residences and customs, especially the structure and evolution of embroidery towers.
