Civilization China Park is a large-scale modern tourist destination themed around hundreds of ancient Chinese inventions, presented through traditional handicraft production and dynamic technological entertainment. It is a unique theme park that explores and continues the cultural heritage of the century, closely integrating ancient handicraft performances with modern commercial and artistic activities in a commercial street that originates from life, stays close to life, and yet transcends it. Experts have called Civilization China a "century-defining and globally significant" project. The park covers an area of 885 acres, with a total investment of 420 million RMB.
The World Inventions Park of Civilization China showcases approximately 300 leading scientific and technological achievements from the modern West, as well as the origins and development of the civilizations of the four ancient nations—Ancient Egypt, India, Babylon, and China—along with the mysterious Mayan civilization. The Sports Inventions Hall uses modern technology and amusement methods to present the origins and development of over 30 ancient Chinese sports and modern Western sports. Outdoor large-scale exhibits include giant clocks, computers, thermometers, vehicles, and the Civilization Plaza, bringing ancient civilization to life for visitors. Indoor amusement attractions consist of seven pavilions labeled A–
B–C–D–E–F–G, which are respectively the People’s Livelihood Pavilion, the Electrical Age Pavilion, the Future World Pavilion, the Power Pavilion, the Information and Communications Pavilion, the Laws of Physics Pavilion, and the Sports Inventions Pavilion.
Each pavilion features inventions as the central theme, transformed into amusement rides for visitors to explore and enjoy, blending science education with entertainment. Civilization China is a large-scale theme park showcasing China’s ancient world-leading technological achievements, serving as an educational and entertaining patriotic education base, and is another key tourist attraction in the Beijing-Tianjin region. Located in the prime area of the Beijing-Tianjin corridor—the Langfang Development Zone—it is adjacent to the Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan Expressway, offering convenient transportation with a drive of no more than one hour to either Beijing or Tianjin. Close to both cities, Civilization China offers modern tourism amenities of a metropolis along with the tranquility of a pastoral setting, featuring fresh air and a pleasant climate, making it an ideal destination for leisure and vacation.
Civilization China features nearly 10,000 square meters of modern architecture and over 40 uniquely styled structures. Through architectural design, craft demonstrations, sculptures, paintings, cultural performances, and visitor participation, guests are educated while they enjoy themselves. The park provides a full range of services including communication facilities, dining, shopping, entertainment, rest areas, and accommodation to meet the needs of domestic and international visitors of all levels. The park’s uniquely designed architecture combines realistic and abstract elements at a magnified scale, creating a strong visual impact. The Yangshao Clouds Scenic Spot building is constructed based on an enlarged model of artifacts unearthed from the Majiayao site. Standing 24 meters tall with a maximum diameter of 48 meters, it has an indoor area of 2,000 square meters. The presentation style of Civilization China differs from both museums and conventional amusement parks. It integrates architecture, sculpture, painting, demonstrations, performances, and amusement rides, offering rich content and high artistic value.
