The Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (Wanzhuang) International High-Tech Agricultural Industry Park is located in Wanzhuang Town, Guangyang District, Langfang City. With a total planned area of 20,000 mu and an estimated total investment of 5.08 billion yuan, it is scheduled to be fully completed by the end of 2007. The construction of the industrial park will focus on the original innovation of agricultural science and technology, with the main tasks being the demonstration of high-tech agricultural achievements and industrial incubation. Leveraging the technological, talent, and international exchange advantages of over 40 research institutes under the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and related academic institutions, as well as Langfang City’s favorable location, the park aims to become a world-class platform for agricultural high-tech innovation, experimentation, achievement demonstration, industrial incubation, information application, and investment, trade, and collaboration among agricultural technology enterprises. It will nurture and incubate a group of internationally competitive agricultural high-tech enterprises, striving to build China’s “Silicon Valley” of modern agriculture.

The construction of the park will follow the principles of high starting point, high standards, and internationalization, and will be divided into three functional zones. The Core Zone for High-Tech Agricultural Innovation and Experimentation will primarily focus on pilot testing, demonstration, and technology integration of high-tech agricultural innovations developed by the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The International High-Tech Agricultural Experimentation and Demonstration Zone will mainly rely on the extensive connections between the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and developed countries and international organizations to introduce the latest foreign agricultural science and technology achievements, conducting trials, demonstrations, and the adaptation and integration of high-tech achievements. The Agricultural High-Tech Industry Incubation Zone will mainly attract investment, relying on the technical expertise and advantages of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and using enterprise-style management methods to carry out industrial incubation and large-scale, standardized production of high-quality agricultural products.
