Langfang Times Square

Covering an area of 70,000 square meters, Times Square is the largest comprehensive square in the province, integrating functions such as leisure, entertainment, and fitness. The square’s landscaping mainly features ginkgo, plane trees, ash trees, and Chinese pine, with over 300 trees planted and 9,000 square meters of lawns laid out. The green space ratio exceeds 60%. The entire square is paved with granite stones, with a warm-toned color scheme in a grid pattern that presents an elegant and distinctive look.

Key facilities include a sculpture fountain, sunken theater, water screen movie, and plastic track stadium. The central sculpture in the square stands 17 meters tall, and the surrounding matrix-style dancing fountains along with the main fountain in the sunken theater undulate to the rhythm of music, creating a dynamic interplay of strength and grace. The sunken theater faces the lake and can accommodate 2,000 spectators for performances.

Times Square was constructed in two phases. The first phase is divided into the eastern section and the central section, covering 220 mu. The eastern section mainly includes hard-surface paving, parking lots, a plastic track stadium, a sunken theater, and a water screen movie. The central section utilizes the natural lake and green islands of the former People’s Park. The second phase is the western section, covering 160 mu, featuring a museum, a senior citizens’ activity center, a youth science and technology activity center, and the site of the old railway station.
