The site of Cao Cao’s Council Platform is located west of Yitai Village, Malan Town, Yanling County. The platform was built from rammed earth in an oval shape, about 5 meters high and over 300 meters in circumference. According to the *Yanling County Annals*, this platform was where Cao Cao discussed affairs with his advisors. In 2009, it was announced as a cultural relic protection unit by the People’s Government of Henan Province. It now houses the primary school of Yitai Village.

Malan Town: Malan Town in Yanling County has a long history and got its name during the Three Kingdoms period when Cao Cao stationed troops and raised horses here. During the Northern Song Dynasty, Malan was one of the four major towns near the capital and enjoyed great prosperity with “merchants gathering from all directions.” The town area contains historic sites such as the Xingguo Temple Pagoda, Cao Cao’s Council Platform, the Xiezigaang Ruins, and the Leling Han Tombs, offering rich cultural landscapes.

Malan Town is located 5 kilometers south of the county seat. National Highway 311 and Langui Road run east-west, while Provincial Road 219, Pengxiao Road, and Yanwang Road run north-south.
