Yuxian Pavilion (Yang Family Ancestral Hall)

Yuxian Pavilion (Yang Family Ancestral Hall) is a cultural heritage site protected by Xinxiang City.

Yuxian Pavilion (Yang Family Ancestral Hall) is located at the eastern end of Xiaowei Village, Shipogu Town, Yanjin County. From Xinxiang City, head east along S308 to the Xinxiang Ping’an Cement Co., Ltd., then turn south to reach Xiaowei Village in Shipogu Township.

Covering an area of 10,000 square meters, it is a square-shaped courtyard. Originally built as the Yang Family Ancestral Hall in 1816, it underwent several rounds of fundraising and expansions, resulting in a three-room brick-and-wood structure known as the Yang Family Ancestral Hall. In 1985, a surrounding wall and entrance gate were added, along with landscaping within the courtyard.

In August 1987, it was designated as a “Yanjin County Cultural Heritage Protection Unit” by the county government.

In December 2005, it was designated as a “Third Batch of Xinxiang Municipal-Level Cultural Heritage Protection Units” by the city government.
