Xidan Culture Square

Xidan Culture Square is located northeast of the Xidan intersection in Xicheng District, Beijing. The project has a total construction area of over 35,000 square meters, including a square that covers 15,000 square meters. The total investment for the project was 540 million yuan, and it was fully completed in August 1999.

Xidan Culture Square, nestled to the south against Chang’an Avenue and facing Times Square from a distance; to the north it links continuously with Zhongyou Department Store; to the east it borders the renowned Book Building, and to the west it overlooks the Bank of China Tower with its distinctive architecture. Viewed at eye level, the green lawns, neat pathways, and brightly lit field lamps outline a simple and clear square scene; seen from above, the stage, sculpture, roundabout, and pathways form a leisurely scenic picture.
