The Site of the Ancient City of Zhuolu (Huangdi City) is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Hebei Province.

The Ancient City of Zhuolu, also known as "Huangdi City," is located in Sanbao Village, Fanshan Town, Zhuolu County. According to Records of the Grand Historian, after Huangdi defeated Chiyou and subjugated the Yan Emperor, he "established his capital in the valleys of Zhuolu," meaning he built his capital on the plains at the foot of Zhuolu Mountain. It is said that Huangdi City was the first capital established by Huangdi for the Huaxia civilization.

The Records of the Grand Historian · Annals of the Five Emperors states that "Huangdi mustered the armies of the feudal lords and fought Chiyou in the fields of Zhuolu," and also that he "drove the Xunyu northward, held a covenant at Mount Fuxi, and established his capital in the valleys of Zhuolu." Additionally, the Kuodi Zhi (Records of Geography) states that "the ancient city of Zhuolu is fifty li southeast of Guizhou, originally the capital of Huangdi." For these reasons, people also refer to the Ancient City of Zhuolu as "Huangdi City."

The city site is irregularly square, measuring 510–540 meters from north to south and 450–500 meters from east to west. The city walls were built with rammed earth, with layers 0.10–0.14 meters thick. The remaining wall height is 2.5–5 meters, with the top width being 2–3 meters and the base width about 10 meters.

The Site of the Ancient City of Zhuolu has undergone multiple surveys, and an excavation was also conducted in 1998. Based on unearthed artifacts such as pottery tripods, pottery pots, and dou vessels, as well as the results of the city wall excavations, it is inferred that the construction of the site dates back to the Warring States and Han dynasties.

In July 1993, it was designated as a provincial-level cultural heritage site by the People's Government of Hebei Province.

Sanbao Village: Sanbao Village is located west of Fanshan Town, approximately 2.5 kilometers from the town government, with Huangdi City situated to the north of the village. The village has a total of 3,480 households, 950 residents, 41 Party members, 15 village representatives, and a six-member village committee. There are 85 elderly residents over 70 years old and 120 villagers working away from home. The village has a total of 1,900 mu of arable land, including 1,500 mu of irrigated land and 400 mu of sloping dry land. The main crops are corn and apricot kernels, which are the pillar industries of the village and a major source of economic income for the villagers.
