Xiashuhe Site

The Xiashuhe Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Hebei Province.

The Xiashuhe Site is located in Xiashuhe Village, Dabao Town, Zhuolu County. The site has an irregular layout, measuring approximately 200 meters at its longest from north to south, and about 50 meters at its shortest, while stretching around 800 meters from east to west at its longest and about 50 meters at its shortest, covering a total area of 50,000 square meters. On the northern side facing the river cliff of the Sha River, cultural layers up to 1.5–2.5 meters thick are visible. There are clear traces of ash pits. Exposed artifacts include Neolithic Longshan, Xiadian, Western Zhou, and Warring States cultures. Among the findings are chipped stone flakes, as well as pottery shards in various colors including clay-colored painted pottery, and sand-tempered red, black, brown, and gray pottery. Decorative patterns include plain surfaces, dot patterns, and coarse and fine cord marks. Identifiable vessel shapes include li tripods, jars, and pots. It is a site rich in ancient cultural content. Due to its location near the Sha River, the site suffers from landslides caused by mountain floods during the annual rainy season, resulting in damage to the cultural layers.

In July 1993, it was designated as a provincial-level cultural heritage protection unit by the People's Government of Hebei Province.

Xiashuhe Village: Xiashuhe Village is located 8 kilometers west of Dabao Town.

The village is a key targeted poverty alleviation and development village at the provincial level. It currently has 437 households and a population of 1,165, with a per capita disposable income of 9,300 yuan.

The total area of the village is 5,250 mu. Corn, potatoes, cabbage, and green beans are the main industries.

The village places emphasis on strengthening infrastructure construction. In 2015, it was designated as a village for rural appearance renovation and upgrading. Major streets within the village were paved, and a 60-square-meter fitness square for villagers was built.
