The Qixingtan Scenic Area is located at the southern foot of Baotianman in Neixiang County. It is an important part of the Baotianman World Biosphere Reserve and National Geopark, and is considered a pearl of Baotianman. The scenic area features lush green mountains, cascading springs, and waterfalls that tumble from the sky, forming a series of seven interconnected deep pools—hence the name "Qixingtan." The area is divided into two parts: the original ecological tourism zone and the tourism, culture, and entertainment zone. It is a comprehensive “leisure and vacation-type” ecotourism destination that integrates vacationing, dining, bathing, entertainment, camping, rock climbing, and exploration.

In the original ecological tourism zone, the vegetation remains entirely pristine. Lush greenery abounds, streams babble softly, and fragrant flowers fill the air. Visitors can stroll along shaded paths, walk on stone trails, climb steps, and enter caves, where one waterfall and pool after another unfolds in sequence. Highlights include the Chinese Spirit Stone, the Heaven-Opening Stone Waterfall, the Sacred Tree on the Boulder, the Stacked Stone Forest Gorge, and the Seven-Star Linked Pools—natural wonders found nowhere else in the world. The area enjoys distinct seasons: in spring, emerald peaks glisten with fresh verdure and wildflowers bloom in riotous colors; in summer, it offers a cool retreat dotted with waterfalls everywhere; in autumn, the skies are clear and the red leaves blaze like sunset clouds; in winter, the landscape is draped in silvery white, as if sculpted from ice and jade. In the Ethnic Culture Garden, guests can stay in bamboo huts or Mongolian yurts and savor pure, natural cuisine. Qixingtan is truly an ideal destination for travel, vacation, and summer escape.
