Lanhu Forest Park

Lanying Reservoir is located in the northeastern part of Wolong District, adjacent to National Highway 312, and is the closest medium-sized reservoir to the urban area. The reservoir covers an area of over 5,000 acres, extends 4 kilometers in depth, and features over 1,000 acres of integrated lotus and fish farming. It is home to flocks of waterfowl, with clear waves rippling—a true scene of the Jiangnan region—forming, together with nearby Dushan Mountain, the “one mountain, one water” landscape north of Nanyang City. Lanhu Forest Park was established to create an oxygen source forest, water conservation forest, and scenic forest base for the central urban area. With a planned total area of 10,000 acres, the park utilizes a rational arrangement of trees and shrubs, evergreen and deciduous species, at varying heights and distances, to create a forest landscape featuring spring blossoms, summer shade, autumn foliage, and winter greenery. It has been developed into a suburban ecological forest park that integrates eco-tourism and leisure entertainment.

Jinge Subdistrict: The office of Jinge Subdistrict is located at No. 78 Qilin Road, Wolong District, Nanyang City, Henan Province. In 1961, the Jinge People’s Commune was established; in 1965, it was renamed the Midi People’s Commune; in 1968, a section of the subdistrict was incorporated into the Hongqi People’s Commune; in 1975, it was corrected back to the Jinge People’s Commune; and at the end of December 1985, it was changed to the Jinge Township People’s Government. The township government was based in Jinge Village. In 1990, the Jinge administrative office moved from Jinge Village to No. 78 Qilin Road, Nanyang City.
