Yingzhuang Site

The Yingzhuang Site is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Henan Province.

The Yingzhuang Site is located to the north of Houyingzhuang Village in Yingzhuang Town. Dating back to the Neolithic Age, it covers an area of approximately 2.25 square meters, with a cultural layer about 1.4 meters thick. Scattered on the surface are pottery shards, including fragments of conical tripod feet, jars, pots, basins, and stone axes. It is a site of the Yangshao Culture.

Yingzhuang Town: A township under the jurisdiction of Wolong District, Nanyang City. Established as the Yingzhuang Commune in 1958 and restructured as a township in 1984. It is situated south of the city, 26.4 kilometers from the city center. Covering an area of 89.4 square kilometers with a population of 70,000, it is traversed by the Nanyang–Xinye West Route Highway. The township administers 27 village committees: Houyingzhuang, Qianyingzhuang, Yin Ying, Daying, Wangtangzhuang, Zhangqiyings, Jiaying, Xizhangying, Nantun, Hedong, Linggang, Nanliuying, Dongpo, Huying, Liuzhong, Sunji, Hezhuang, Yugang, Yancha, Zhaozhuang, Xiangzishu, Gaoying, Lvpan, Guansi, Duanzhai, Li Hu, and Xiliuying.
