Ruins of the Ancient Xie County

The ruins of the ancient Xie County is a cultural tourism attraction.

The ruins of the ancient Xie County are located southwest of Shiqiao Town and date back to the Western Han Dynasty. The ancient city is rectangular in shape, measuring 600 meters from north to south and 500 meters from east to west. The northwest corner of the city wall stands at a height of 0.30 meters, while the southeast corner reaches 0.30–0.80 meters. A large number of bricks, tiles, pottery fragments, and bronze arrowheads have been found within the city and in the surrounding area. It is believed based on historical literature to be the site of the ancient Yuyang County under the Han Dynasty.

Shiqiao Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Wolong District, Nanyang City. In 1958, Shiqiao Commune was established, which was reorganized as a township in 1984 and upgraded to a town in 1985. Located to the north of the city, it is 22.3 kilometers from the city center. Covering an area of 39.7 square kilometers, it has a population of 37,000. The Jiaozuo-Zhicheng Railway and the Zhengzhou-Nanyang West Highway pass through the town. It administers 12 village committees: Shiqiao First Village, Shiqiao Second Village, Xiazhuang, Xiaoshiqiao, Jiazhai, Longwo, Cai Guantun, Wen Zhuang, Hezhai, Guo Zhuang, Zhu Zhuang, and Shi Zhuang.
