Luohe Deze Ceramics Museum

Luohe Deze Ceramics Museum, located in the northern section of Taishan Road, Luohe City, Henan Province, covers an area of 670 square meters. It is the first private ancient ceramics museum in Luohe City, approved by the Henan Provincial Administration of Cultural Heritage. The museum boasts a rich collection of over 1,200 pieces (sets), primarily featuring ancient ceramics, as well as bronze ware, bricks and tiles from the Warring States and Han dynasties, and jade artifacts, all of which are open to the public free of charge year-round.

Luohe Deze Ceramics Museum is the first privately-run museum in Luohe City to be approved by the provincial cultural heritage administration. Its establishment fills a gap in the city’s museum sector, enhances the city’s cultural stature, and provides a venue for cultural relic enthusiasts to exchange ideas, collaborate, conduct research, and receive training. Moreover, it serves as a window for historical and patriotic education for the people of Luohe.

The Deze Museum houses nearly 1,000 artifacts, predominantly ceramics, including the uniquely charming Han green-glazed pottery, the world-renowned Tang tri-color pottery, and the exquisitely beautiful painted pottery, along with typical bronze and jade artifacts from the Shang, Zhou, Qin, and Han periods.

Since its opening, the Deze Museum has garnered attention from social organizations and individuals from all walks of life. It aims to promote, inherit, and protect national culture, make rational use of cultural relics, and provide historical and patriotic education to young people.

Honors and Awards

In December 2020, it was designated as a Fourth Batch National Third-Class Museum.
