The Site of the Establishment of the First Party Branch in Xin County is located on Zhulin Lane, Zhulin Village, about 3 kilometers southwest of Jianchanghe Township. There is a small hill shaped like a steamed bun here, surrounded by evergreen pines and cypresses and lush shrubs. It was in such an inconspicuous place—not too close to the village but not too far either—that people wouldn’t easily suspect anything. In the autumn of 1926, the first secret party cell in Xin County was established here. Party members such as Wu Huanxian, Shi Shengcai, Zhan Yixian, Wu Xianchou, Dai Huatang, and Xiao Chongshan often gathered and carried out activities here. In February of the following year, Wu Huanxian and others hung a party flag on the pine trees on the hill. This marked the establishment of the first Party Branch in Xin County, with Wu Huanxian serving as the branch secretary. In 1976, the county government erected a memorial monument here.
