The Site of the First Congress of Workers, Peasants, and Soldiers of the Eyuwan Border Region is a cultural relic protection unit of Henan Province, a classic red tourism attraction, and a patriotic education base.

The Site of the First Congress of Workers, Peasants, and Soldiers of the Eyuwan Border Region is located in Wangwan Village, Chendian Township, Xin County. In late June 1930, the first congress of workers, peasants, and soldiers of the Eyuwan Border Region was held here. Over 200 representatives from the workers, peasants, and soldiers of the three regions—Eyu Border Region, Southeastern Henan, Western Anhui—and the Beijing-Hankou Railway attended the meeting. The congress passed a political report, discussed issues such as expanding the Red Army, the agrarian revolution, and the Red Guards, and elected the Eyuwan Soviet Government. Members included Gan Yuanjing, Zheng Xingrui, Xiong Shaoshan, Zhu Shufang, Yuan Kefu, Zhan Yijin, and Li Tiyun, with Gan Yuanjing as chairman. The government offices were located in Yangfan, Jianchanghe. In 2004, it was approved by the Xinyang Municipal People's Government as a municipal-level key cultural relic protection unit.

The original site of the First Congress of Workers, Peasants, and Soldiers of the Eyuwan Border Region was the ancestral temple of the Wang family, facing south with a front and rear courtyard. The rear courtyard was burned down by enemies, leaving only the front small courtyard, which served as the office area at that time. In front of the gate stands an ancient and sturdy cypress tree, one of the local “Three Terraces and Eight Scenic Spots.”

Wangwan Village: Located in the eastern part of Chendian Township, Wangwan Village is a remote mountain village. It is 8 kilometers from the Chendian Township government, covering an area of 12.5 square kilometers. The village includes 9 natural villages and 10 villager groups, with a total population of 1,425 (382 households). The area has 2,046.9 mu of paddy fields, 1,500 mu of cultivated land, and 12,564 mu of mountainous land (characterized by seven parts mountain, one part water, and two parts field).
