The Former Site of the Hubei-Henan-Anhui Military Commission Wireless Radio Station is a classic red tourism attraction and a patriotic education base.

Located in Zhongfan, Linchong Village, about 2 kilometers southeast of Xin County’s urban area. In May 1931, after the establishment of the Soviet capital in Xinji, in order to maintain contact with the central authorities and the Central Soviet Area, the Hubei-Henan-Anhui Military Commission decided to set up a wireless radio station in Zhongfan. The station was managed by Song Kanfu, Cai Wei, and others, with over ten staff members. At that time, there were only two wireless transmitters and one generator. The Military Commission also assigned a whole platoon specifically for its protection. Later, as more enemy radios were captured, each Red Army division was equipped with one, and the Military Commission even established a wireless training class here to train personnel for the divisions. The establishment of this radio station enabled direct communication between the Hubei-Henan-Anhui region and the central authorities. It allowed for the timely receipt of directives and orders from the center, as well as reporting on various activities in the base areas. Additionally, the station could also connect with the Central Soviet Area and the Western Hunan-Hubei Soviet Area, and directly command the Hubei-Henan-Anhui Red Army in combat across different locations. It made significant contributions to the development of the revolutionary cause in the Hubei-Henan-Anhui region. In 1933, after the Fourth Front Army of the Red Army withdrew, the site was destroyed by the enemy and the buildings were ruined. The former site of the Hubei-Henan-Anhui Military Commission Wireless Radio Station was originally the ancestral hall of the Zhong family. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, five civilian houses were built on the front section, while the rear section remained largely in its original state. There are a total of nine buildings, arranged in two rows, front and back, constructed with brick and wood. The site is surrounded by a maple tree forest.
