The former site of the Zhoujiakou Anti-Japanese War Command Headquarters is a classic red tourism attraction.

The former site of the Zhoujiakou Anti-Japanese War Command Headquarters is located on Xinjie Street, Hehua Subdistrict Office, Chuanying District, Zhoukou City. It dates back to 1938. This site is recognized as part of the seventh batch of Major Historical and Cultural Sites Protected at the Provincial Level in Henan Province.

The surviving structures of the former Zhoujiakou Anti-Japanese Defense Battle Site include the main building and the north wing room. The main building is a two-story pavilion facing west and situated eastward, approximately 9.7 meters in length from north to south, about 5.2 meters in depth, with three bays in width, a three-rafter beam structure, and a gray-tiled flush gable roof. The front eaves protrude 1.5 meters, supported by four pillars with carved dragon head motifs at the top. The spandrels feature interlocking wooden lattice floral decorations, flanked by lotus-shaped hanging columns. The wall corners are adorned with brick-carved floral patterns. On the second floor, there are three vertical windows, each decorated with brick carvings above. The north wing room faces south and is situated northward, measuring about 9.5 meters in length from east to west and approximately 4.6 meters in depth. This compound was once the residence of Regimental Commander Zhang Zhankui of the garrison troops stationed in Zhoujiakou during the Anti-Japanese War. It was commonly referred to as “Zhang’s Mansion.” The original residence consisted of three connected courtyards, one of which was demolished in recent years. Today, it is inhabited by Hou Jie, a resident of Chuanying District.
