Huiji River National Wetland Park in Luyi is a national-level wetland park.

Huiji River National Wetland Park in Luyi has a planned total area of 468.3 hectares. Once completed, the park will feature the beautiful wetland ecological landscape of the Huiji River and the profound cultural heritage of Laozi.

Huiji River National Wetland Park in Luyi is located northeast of Luyi County, spanning 9.74 kilometers from east to west. It mainly includes sections of the Huiji River channel and its tributaries, Taipinggou and Mingjinggou. The park encompasses three types of wetlands: riverine wetlands, marsh wetlands, and artificial wetlands. The planned total area is 425.76 hectares, of which 309.34 hectares are wetlands, accounting for a wetland coverage rate of 72.66%.

Huiji River National Wetland Park in Luyi boasts rich flora and fauna resources, including 471 plant species from 287 genera and 102 families, as well as 243 vertebrate species from 76 families and 32 orders. The park will be divided into five functional zones: wetland conservation area, restoration and reconstruction area, education and exhibition area, rational use area, and management and service area. Once completed, the park will highlight the beautiful wetland ecological landscape of the Huiji River and the profound cultural heritage of Laozi, with the core mission of protecting the riverine wetland ecosystem. It will serve multiple ecological functions such as ecological restoration, resource cultivation, science education, and recreational leisure.
