Dongzang Village Yangshao Culture Site

The Yangshao Culture Site in Dongzang Village is located approximately 19.6 kilometers northeast of Qingyuan County, about 1,000 meters southwest of Dongzang Village and 4,000 meters south of the Fu River. The site is about 280 meters long and 240 meters wide, elevated 1–1.9

meters above the surroundings. The ground features ash pits of various sizes, containing pottery rings, deer antlers, animal bones, clam shells, and more. The cultural layer of the site is 1–1.5 meters thick, with a large number of clay pottery fragments unearthed, including vessels such as pots, basins, jars, and bowls.

Artifacts excavated include stone axes, stone chisels, pestles, and grinding rods. The Dawangting Yangshao Culture Site is situated about 16.3 kilometers northeast of the county seat, roughly 500 meters southeast of Dawangting and 1.5 kilometers south of the Fu River. The site measures 250 meters in length and 200

meters in width, with flat terrain. The surface of the site is dotted with ash pits of different sizes. From these pits, polished stone axes, stone clubs, pottery rings, clam shells, animal bones, fish bones, and painted pottery fragments have been unearthed. The cultural layer is 1–1.3 meters thick, containing a substantial amount of pottery shards.
