Liancheng Village is located at the northern end of Nanchangshan Island in Changdao, surrounded by sea on two sides, and adjacent to the Yushi Street and Wangfu Reef tourist attractions. In December 2005, Liancheng Village was awarded the title of "Well-Off Demonstration Village" by the Yantai Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, and also received the title of "Provincial Democratic and Rule of Law Demonstration Village."

Since the establishment of the "Fishermen’s Home Stay" management organization, the village has developed the "Fishermen’s Home Stay" accommodation and dining services into an industry—from nonexistence to scale, from basic to in-depth offerings, and from rustic to refined experiences. The village party branch secretary personally oversees the "Fishermen’s Home Stay" office, with all responsible personnel fully engaged in organizing promotions, management, and safety production, implementing several unified standards required by the county. Last year, the "Fishermen’s Home Stay" and Wangfu Reef Park generated an income of 780,000 yuan. To enrich the content of the "Fishermen’s Home Stay," the village organizes unified square bonfire parties, with villagers voluntarily participating in entertainment programs and celebrating together with stationed troops and visitors from other regions. Building a new fishing village, enriching the connotation of the "Fishermen’s Home Stay," creating a "Fishermen’s Home Stay" brand, and promoting courtyard, room, and environmental purification, greening, and beautification activities are key initiatives. Regular "Three-Purification" inspections are carried out among "Fishermen’s Home Stay" operators. Centered around the goal of "building a moderately prosperous society in all respects," the village is transforming its business philosophy, adhering to high starting points and high standards, improving fishing village infrastructure, accelerating village development, and committing to creating a garden-style village.
