Beicun Site

The Beicun Site is a cultural relic protection unit of Shandong Province.

The Beicun Site is located in Daqindao Township, Changdao County. It dates back to the Neolithic Age and the Eastern Zhou Dynasty. In 2013, the Beicun Site was designated as part of the fourth batch of Shandong Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Units.

Daqindao Township: The total land area of the island is 6.44 square kilometers, comprising four administrative villages—Dongcun, Beicun, Nancun, and Xiaohao Village—with a total population of 4,630. By the end of 2006, the total annual income of the township and village-level economy was 283 million yuan, and the gross domestic product was 110 million yuan. The ratio of primary, secondary, and tertiary industries was 42:17:41. The total income from fisheries was 150 million yuan, including 120 million yuan from aquaculture, 37 million yuan from fishing, and 9 million yuan from introduced and utilized external funds. The per capita net income was 5,000 yuan, and the per capita living area was 26 square meters.
