The former site of Chengzhang Primary School is located in Dianzi Village, Beichangshan Township, Changdao County, dating back to 1928.

On May 20, 2011, the former site of Chengzhang Primary School was designated as part of the fourth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Yantai.

Protected area: Point A: the northeast corner of the exterior wall of Chengzhang Primary School in Dianzi, E120°41'36.2", N37°59'09.7". Point B: the southwest corner of the courtyard wall, E120°41'34.7", N37°59'08.9". The boundary is defined by the school’s surrounding wall. Point A: southeast corner of the wall; Point B: northeast corner of the wall; Point C: northwest corner of the wall; Point D: southwest corner of the wall. Area description: A–B = 32m, A–D = 12m (forming a rectangle). Protected area size: 384㎡
