The Tenth Inn
A municipal-level cultural heritage site. Located on Liangshidian Street in Xuanwu District. It faces east and is built with brick and wood, featuring two floors, a width of seven bays, and a floor plan shaped like the Chinese character “日” (sun/day). There are two inner courtyards, with rooms arranged around them, and passageways connecting the front and rear yards. The structure includes four buildings: east, west, main, and rear-facing halls, with the two middle ones connected. The front courtyard has three-bay side wings on the north and south, and the rear courtyard has one-bay side wings on each side, all with a depth of five rafters and front porches. Four sets of staircases are located along the gable walls of the side wings, and flat-roofed connecting corridors are added between the front porches of each building to form a covered walkway. Later repurposed as the Xin Baole Hotel. In 2004, its protected area and construction control zone were designated, with the protected area covering the heritage building itself.
