Yimeng Maquan Leisure Park is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Leveraging the stunning natural scenery of Baoquan Village in Tongjing Town, Yinan County, the region’s unique Yimeng-style agricultural ecological and cultural landscapes, and its rich historical and cultural heritage, the park employs creative agricultural thinking to seamlessly integrate pastoral eco-tourism, modern agricultural technology demonstration, and leisure vacation. It fuses humanistic and natural attractions, aiming to establish a new type of tourism development enterprise focused on “agricultural technology demonstration, eco-tourism, and leisure vacation.” The goal is to build a health-oriented, idyllic ecological and cultural demonstration base and an agricultural technology eco-tourism leisure resort in Shandong Province and even across China.

The park has a planned total investment of 2.26 billion yuan, covering a total land area of 10,000 mu, with a planned total construction area of 243,700 square meters. Major construction components include an agricultural research institute, intelligent greenhouses, solar greenhouses, a farming folklore museum, an agricultural science popularization museum, a winery, senior apartments, traditional courtyard houses, forest cabins, a senior university, a medicinal cuisine club, a cultural and sports center, a medical rehabilitation center, organic orchards and forests, and a “happy vegetable garden,” among others.

Currently, the first phase of the project has been completed and is successfully operational, with an investment of 350 million yuan. It has transformed 2,000 mu of land, all of which have been converted into level terraces. A total of 3,000 meters of water pipelines have been laid, 2,000 meters of irrigation channels and 5,000 meters of stone retaining walls have been built. Twelve small reservoirs and ponds have been constructed, all treated with anti-seepage measures, and stocked with Japanese koi and other ornamental fish. Fifteen bridges and culverts have been built, 30 kilometers of roads have been paved, and 540 solar-powered streetlights have been installed. Three leisure picking gardens have been established, covering a total area of 600 mu. Over 200,000 trees of big cherries, Yangfeng sweet persimmons, and thin-shelled walnuts have been planted, along with more than 1,000 high-quality osmanthus trees. An investment of 15 million yuan was made to construct a 6,000-square-meter reception center and fruit tree research institute, while 20 million yuan was invested to build a 5,000-square-meter folklore museum and farming culture exhibition center. Three transformers have been installed, and over 1,200 meters of underground cables have been laid.

The park adheres to the concept of creative agriculture, applying advanced agricultural technologies to continuously enhance its technological content. It utilizes micro-drip irrigation technology to create an integrated water and fertilizer system. Smart agricultural technologies enable centralized terminal control, achieving precision agriculture. Leisure picking gardens employ modern biological techniques such as grass planting in orchards, wall bee pollination, and physical pest control lamps. Six hundred solar-powered insecticidal lamps have been installed, along with practical traps and yellow sticky boards for field pest management, actively promoting ecological circular agriculture.

After several consecutive years of development and improvement, the area has transformed into a modern agricultural park with verdant mountains, clear waters, and fragrant fruits and trees. The company has been recognized by the Linyi Municipal Agriculture Commission and Linyi Municipal Tourism Bureau as a “Linyi Leisure Agriculture and Rural Tourism Demonstration Site.” It has also been designated by the Linyi Municipal Government as a “Municipal Key Leading Enterprise in Forestry Industrialization.” In June 2013, it was honored by the China Association for Science and Technology and the Ministry of Finance as a “National Advanced Unit for Science Popularization, Agricultural Benefits, and Village Development.” In August 2013, it was identified by the Shandong Provincial Department of Agriculture and Shandong Provincial Tourism Bureau as a “Shandong Leisure Agriculture and Rural Tourism Demonstration Site.” In December 2014, it was rated as a national AAA-level tourist attraction. It is currently striving to become a National Soil and Water Conservation Science and Technology Demonstration Park, a National Leisure Agriculture and Rural Tourism Demonstration Site, and a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

With continuous expansion in scale, the company’s positioning has also evolved, focusing primarily on four areas: “organic orchard production, agricultural technology R&D, agricultural leisure tourism, and ecological elderly care.” The aim is to expand the scope of modern agriculture and rural leisure tourism. The next step is to develop ecological elderly care projects. The elderly care and leisure zone covers a total area of 5,200 mu, with a construction area of 85,500 square meters and a total investment of 532.6 million yuan. Major components include a comprehensive service area, a rehabilitation and medical area, a wellness residential area, an outdoor sports area, and an ecological planting area. To date, 20 kilometers of roadbeds and bridges/culverts have been completed, over 2,500 mu of barren hills have been reclaimed, two large box-type transformers have been installed, 5 kilometers of high-voltage transmission lines have been erected, and one small Type II reservoir has been largely completed. Fifty thousand new cherry trees have been planted, and 2,000 mu of existing fruit trees (over 40,000 trees) have been renovated and improved.
