The Site of the Dashan Mountain Breakout Battle in Linyi is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit and a classic red tourism attraction.

The background of the Site of the Dashan Mountain Breakout Battle in Linyi is the victorious breakout battle that took place in 1941, which was the most tragic and heroic breakout in the history of the War of Resistance in Shandong. To commemorate the martyrs, in November 2012—72 years after the victory at Dashan Mountain—the memorial hall was completed at the foot of Dashan Mountain. Dashan Mountain has now been developed into a red-themed education base that includes a memorial square, memorial hall, monument, and the Anti-Japanese Military and Political University Stele Forest.

On October 7, 2019, the Site of the Dashan Mountain Breakout Battle in Linyi was included in the eighth batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.
