Mengliang Home Tourism Area

The Mengliang Home Tourism Area is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

The Meng-Yuan Tourism Area is located in Daizhuang Community, Sunzu Town, Yinan County, Shandong Province, situated in the middle section of the Yimeng Red Tourism Route. In November 2015, it was rated as a Five-Star Agritainment of the “Hospitable Homes in Shandong” program and an AA-level tourist attraction. The tourism area is located at the eastern foot of the world-renowned heroic Menglianggu Mountain, 6 kilometers south of ——, 5 kilometers from National Highway 205, and 25 kilometers east of Yinan County. To fully leverage its regional advantages and vigorously develop rural tourism, in 2016, Daizhuang Village was approved as one of the municipal-level characteristic tourism villages in Linyi. In the same year, Linyi Meng-Yuan Tourism Development Co., Ltd. was established to initiate the Daizhuang Rural Tourism Project — the construction of the Meng-Yuan Tourism Area. The tourism area was planned and designed by the Shandong Provincial Tourism Planning & Research Design Institute, with a planned area of 2,000 mu and a total project investment of 120 million yuan. Following the development philosophy of “inheriting the red gene and continuing rural memories,” the project plans to build seven functional areas: Harmony Homeland, Happy Fruit Ridge, Yimeng Hometown, Military Fortress, Gathering in the Old Revolutionary Base, Frontier Outpost, and Red Rear Area.

The tourism area is developed based on its pristine environment where mountains and water coexist, infused with the warmth of a red rural community and the charm of Yimeng countryside. Adhering to the development philosophy of “enterprise-led, government-supported, market-operated, targeted poverty alleviation, and shared benefits,” it fully utilizes the resource advantages and foundational conditions of Daizhuang Village. To meet the functional demands of tourism development, supporting facilities have been constructed including a visitor center, catering and accommodation, group training, leisure and entertainment, tourism commercial streets, and folk homestay streets. Meanwhile, the area actively participates in tourism poverty alleviation efforts, implementing tourism industry-driven initiatives. To date, assistance has been provided to over 30 impoverished households in Daizhuang Community through various poverty alleviation models such as job opportunities within the scenic area, technical support for fruit and vegetable growers, employment in picking garden management, wage support through charitable elderly care programs, and fair-price purchases of agricultural and sideline products. These efforts have improved the lives of impoverished families and established a relatively comprehensive tourism product system along with a mature tourism poverty alleviation model.

Currently, the main operational projects of Meng-Yuan include hotel reception, leisure picking, group conferences, and training accommodations. With the continuous improvement of the tourism area’s functional projects, in 2019, a Yimeng Red Culture Themed Hotel was constructed. This themed hotel project covers a land area of 12,000 square meters, with a total building area of over 10,000 square meters and a total investment of 50 million yuan. It consists of three independent structures: Hotel Tower A, Hotel Tower B, and the Conference Center. The functional areas include dining, accommodation, conferencing, leisure, and related supporting facilities. As a key livelihood project of Linyi Municipality in 2018 and a major development initiative for the Daizhuang Tourism Characteristic Village, the construction of this project plays a positive and long-term role in enriching local tourism resources, enhancing the area’s tourism capacity and service capabilities, increasing tourism appeal and market competitiveness, and advancing the tourism development of Sunzu Town in Yinan County.

The Meng-Yuan Tourism Area holds a prime geographical location and enjoys broad development prospects. Leveraging the brand advantage of “Yimeng Old Revolutionary Base, Red Rear Area,” we make full use of red tourism resources and promote red traditions. Through measures such as innovating rural tourism formats, creating red culture experiences, and enhancing ecological environments, we aim to establish the area as a key tourism destination along the Yinan Red Tourism Route. Our goal is to build Meng-Yuan into a comprehensive rural tourism destination rich in the spirit of Yimeng.
