A Sacred Red Landmark in Yimeng — The former site of the 115th Division Headquarters of the Eighth Route Army, the former site of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, and the birthplace of the Shandong Provincial Government are located in Dadian Town, Junan County, Linyi City, Shandong Province. With rich, detailed, vivid, and systematic historical materials, artifacts, and scenes, along with modern exhibition techniques, the scenic area comprehensively reflects the great achievements of the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries who led the military and civilians of Shandong in arduous revolutionary struggles during the war-torn years of blood and fire. It also showcases the epic and moving stories of the military and civilians of Shandong, especially those from the Yimeng revolutionary base area, who sacrificed their lives, joined the army, supported the frontlines, and rescued the wounded. The scenic area includes the former site of the 115th Division, the 115th Division Memorial Hall, the former site of the Shandong Provincial Government, and the Shandong Provincial Government Founding Memorial Hall. This is a concentrated red-themed destination showcasing one of the four major revolutionary bases in China during the War of Resistance — the Yimeng Base Area. There is also the “Yimeng Red Sisters-in-Arms” exhibition hall jointly curated by CCTV’s Military Department and the Dayi Charity Fund, which is the only museum nationwide that most systematically and comprehensively reflects the heroic women’s group known as the Yimeng Red Sisters-in-Arms during the revolutionary war years.
