Stone Carvings at the Tomb of Wang Jing

The Stone Carvings at the Tomb of Wang Jing is a cultural tourism attraction.

Located 25 kilometers west of Junan County and 300 meters southwest of Dabai Chang Village in Banquan Town. Built during the Hongzhi era of the Ming Dynasty (1465–1488 AD), it is named after the tomb of Wang Guo (left censor-in-chief of the Ming Dynasty, whose tomb mound was leveled in 1973). The burial site stretches 136.4 meters from north to south and 115 meters from east to west. The southern gate is a carved stone entrance. Upon entering, there were three ancestral hall rooms facing the entrance (demolished after the founding of the People’s Republic in 1949). Behind the hall were pairs of symmetrically arranged stone figures—including human statues, horses, sheep, tigers—and four turtle-mounted steles, as well as ten additional stelae erected by later generations. One of them records the damage to the site caused by the major earthquake in Shandong on June 17, 1668.
