Dingjia Oil Mill Village in Gucheng County is located 5 kilometers northwest of the town government seat. It currently has 56 households with 174 residents, covering 598 mu of arable land. Winter jujube is the sole industry, and the villagers make their living from it. The village organized 16 jujube farmers to vote and elect the council of the Dingjia Oil Mill Village Winter Jujube Professional Cooperative, and also elected five council members who are receptive, enthusiastic about serving the jujube farmers, and dedicated. They formulated the management system of the Dingjia Oil Mill Village Winter Jujube Professional Cooperative, with clear regulations on fund raising, operation methods, and profit distribution. The demonstration garden implements the “Five Unifications”: unified technical guidance, unified orchard appearance, unified fertilization, unified irrigation, and unified sales. At the same time, the industrial chain has been extended by planting dandelions under the winter jujube trees, establishing a dandelion production base, forming an efficient agricultural ecological science and technology demonstration park that integrates research (drip irrigation), new technology promotion, production, sightseeing, and leisure.
