Former Sites of Shengxin Middle School and Youzhen Girls' School
Located in Jiaochang Hutong, Xicheng District, these sites were built in 1928 and originally served as two secondary schools under the French Catholic Missionaries of Charity. Two classroom buildings and one auditorium remain, all constructed with brick-and-wood structures in the European Eclectic style. The facades are divided into three sections, featuring red-tiled sloping roofs and red brick walls in exposed masonry with stone decorations. They are currently used as the junior high section of Beijing No. 4 High School. In 1992, the protection area and construction control zone were designated, with the protected area extending east and south to the protected zone of Beihai Park, and west and north to the western and northern walls of the junior high section of Beijing No. 4 High School.
In May 2013, the former sites of Shengxin Middle School and Youzhen Girls' School were listed as part of the seventh group of Major Historical and Cultural Sites Protected at the National Level.
