Jinan Quancheng Park

Quancheng Park is located in the central area of Jinan City. It was completed in September 1989 and opened to the public free of charge in September 1997. Originally named Jinan Botanical Garden, it was renamed Quancheng Park on September 22, 2006. The park covers a total area of 46.7 hectares, with a green space rate of 81.7%. The entire park is divided into three major exhibition areas: the outdoor plant exhibition area, greenhouse plant exhibition area, and introduction and acclimatization area. It is a multifunctional urban comprehensive park integrating plant research, science education, and leisure entertainment.

The outdoor plant exhibition area is divided into angiosperm and gymnosperm zones. It houses approximately 200,000 plants from over 400 species across 95 families, distributed among 13 specialized gardens including the Magnolia Garden, Cherry and Peach Blossom Garden, Peony Garden, Rose Garden, Lilac Garden, Bamboo Garden, and Pine and Cypress Garden, as well as scenic spots such as the Japanese Garden, Eco Plaza, and Water World.

The exhibition greenhouse is located on the western side of the park. It is a glass building composed of three interconnected right-angled triangular frames, covering an area of 2,648.2 square meters. It is divided into a tropical plant exhibition room, a warm temperate plant exhibition room, and a succulent and xerophyte plant exhibition room.

The introduction and acclimatization area covers 1.3 hectares and is responsible for the acclimatization and breeding of newly introduced plants. It includes three production greenhouses with a total area of 1,300 square meters, 1,200 square meters of shaded shelters, and a cold room covering 200 square meters.

In 2004, Jinan carried out a comprehensive renovation and improvement of the park and its surrounding environment. The design concept was positioned around "ecology, greenery, and sustainability," with the overall goals of protecting the ecological environment and promoting sustainable development. The project prioritized people-oriented design, emphasized high-quality creativity, and created an open, beautiful, and pleasant park environment. This transformed the area into a landmark representing the city's image, fully showcasing the character of a modern provincial capital.

The main newly renovated and constructed attractions include:

Park entrance gate, eco boardwalk, eco plaza, and landscape gardening. The park mainly features the Jingshi Road scenic belt, Shungeng Road scenic belt, and the park’s internal water system. The scenic belts average 25 meters in width and are primarily structured around large shaded pathways. They create a concept of urban grand landscapes, integrating natural elements such as woods, hills, and wooden features with the open park to achieve harmony between humans and nature.
