Travel Center / Comprehensive Report
Traveling from Mount Fuji Shizuoka Airport to downtown Hamamatsu now has a new option besides the subway. Starting March 1, Shizuoka Airport has launched a taxi passenger service for just ¥1,500 (around NT$400), allowing you to comfortably ride directly to downtown Hamamatsu without hauling your luggage on the subway.
The “Limousine Shared Taxi” launched by Mount Fuji Shizuoka Airport from March operates on a fully reservation-based system. Passengers must book by noon the day before their intended ride. Taxis run nine round trips daily starting at 6:10 AM, with a one-way fare of ¥1,500 per person, and children under 3 years old ride for free.
The downtown pickup and drop-off area includes Hamamatsu’s Naka Ward, Higashi Ward, Minami Ward, and Hamamatsu Station. Passengers traveling from downtown to the airport must take a taxi from designated locations and then transfer to a small van at Higashi Ward Office.
