The former site of the U.S. Consulate on Xiaoweier Road is located in Ganshiqiao Subdistrict, Shizhong District, Jinan City, dating back to the late Qing Dynasty and early Republican period.

On October 10, 2013, the former site of the U.S. Consulate on Xiaoweier Road was designated as part of the fourth batch of Provincial-Level Cultural Relics Protection Units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

Ganshiqiao Subdistrict: Ganshiqiao Subdistrict Office of Shizhong District, Jinan City, was formed in May 2001 through the merger of the former Jinqi Road, Ganshiqiao, and Chalu Street Subdistrict Offices. It is situated in the central-northern part of Shizhong District, bordered by Minquan Street to the east, Xiaoweiliu Road to the west, Jingshi Road to the south, and Jingshiu Road to the north, covering an area of 2.3 square kilometers. It has a total of 19,800 households and a population of 58,600.
