The Lianhua Mountain Shengshui Chan Temple Scenic Area in Zhangqiu is a national AA-level tourist attraction and a cultural tourism site.

The Lianhua Mountain Shengshui Chan Temple Scenic Area in Zhangqiu is located in Duozhuang Town, Zhangqiu City, and is connected to the peaks on the northern foothills of Mount Tai. Surrounded by mountains on three sides and adjacent to the beautiful Haishan Lake to the east, the scenic area features towering pine and cypress trees, lush forests, and beautiful natural scenery. It also boasts numerous historical and cultural sites, exuding both the serene mystery of ancient temples deep in the mountains and the uplifting grandeur that seems to pierce the clouds. The area is home to clear springs, lush trees, and an ancient temple, making it an exceptional destination for religious tourism.

The scenic area includes attractions such as the Heavenly King Hall, the Mahavira Hall, the Guanyin Hall, the Ksitigarbha Hall, and the Pagoda Forest. Among these, there are numerous precious tree species such as Chinese honey locust, blue sandalwood, and kalopanax. The mountain gate of Lianhua Mountain Shengshui Chan Temple is majestic, with upturned eaves and a grand structure featuring four pillars and three gates. It is resplendent and measures 20 meters in height and 30 meters in width, built in the style of the Ming and Qing dynasties. At the center hangs a golden plaque inscribed with the words “Lianhua Shengjing” (Lianhua Paradise), written by Master Yicheng, President of the Buddhist Association of China. In front of the gate stand two large stone lions, tall and imposing. On the right cliff, there is a cliff inscription featuring a bold and vigorous five-meter-high Chinese character “Fo” (Buddha), which stands towering into the clouds. Inside the Heavenly King Hall, the front enshrines the Maitreya Buddha, while the back houses the guardian deity Skanda. On both sides are the Four Heavenly Kings, all cast in bronze with gold finish, each holding a sword, umbrella, pipa, or snake, symbolizing abundant harvests and peace under heaven.
