Jinan Zi Yuan Vanilla Garden (Zi Yuan Lavender Garden) is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Jinan Zi Yuan Vanilla Garden is the largest and most diverse modern herb-themed sightseeing park in Shandong region in terms of planting area and variety. It is the only estate in the region specializing exclusively in lavender cultivation. Spanning over 200 acres of romantic flower fields, the garden is planted with a wide array of herbs, offering visitors nearly the full spectrum of global herbal scents. The estate features extensive plantings of perennial lavender and verbena, as well as seasonal roses, colorful sunflower gardens, globe amaranth, spring violets, various types of chrysanthemums, totaling 300 varieties of herbs. The herb seeds are imported from abroad, and planting is personally guided by professors from the Beijing Academy of Agricultural Sciences serving as technical advisors. The garden forms vast, romantic seas of flowers, creating breathtaking scenery. Garden attractions include: a loofah arbor (with loofahs growing 4–6 meters long), a gourd arbor, rose beds, a herb garden, windmills, cradles, pianos, love boats, ponds, reed marshes, a church, and more.

Upon entering the estate, the first sight is a reed marsh. Crossing the Lovers’ Bridge, you’ll be greeted by hundreds of acres of beautiful flower fields. Past the bridge lies a scenic pond. Further along, after walking through the flower sea, you’ll reach the picturesque three-sided church at the end of the path. The estate offers amenities such as a children’s playground, shaded rest areas, a billiards hall, a love station, a wellness trail, decorative ribbons, a wishing tree, love locks, and other leisure and recreational facilities. Designed with the modern concept of returning to nature for health and relaxation, the farm is immersed in a tranquil atmosphere. Simple fences and widespread herb plantings create a rustic yet mystical romance, evoking the feeling of a hidden pastoral paradise.

Public Transport:

No dedicated tourist shuttle bus. Take the Jinan–Zhangqiu intercity bus from Jinan Eastern Long-Distance Bus Station (Dianliuzhuang) and get off at Xiangcao Garden. (Ticket: 8 RMB, every 15 minutes, 50-minute ride)

Self-Driving Directions:

Take G20 – Jinan East Ring Expressway – exit at Jinan East – drive straight east along Jingshi East Road – turn left onto Dazheng Road – turn right onto Century Avenue – drive straight for about 1 km to reach Songlifucun Village. Approximately 20 minutes after exiting the expressway.
