Zhangqiu Xiaokang Village Modern Agriculture Demonstration Park is located 4 kilometers from downtown Zhangqiu and 10 kilometers north of the Jiqing Expressway. It was built by Xiaokang Village on the foundation of a honeysuckle base. The park covers a total planned area of 1,500 mu, divided into five functional areas: honeysuckle planting area, fruit and forest picking area, high-quality vegetable area, leisure fishing area, and catering and entertainment area.

The park’s 300-mu honeysuckle base is the largest plain-based honeysuckle base in Shandong Province. The park features an artificial lake covering 15,000 square meters, hardened framework roads, water-saving irrigation equipment, 100 mu of high-standard vegetable greenhouses, a 200-mu fruit and forest picking area, a 400-mu organic vegetable base growing crops such as potatoes and new-type Chinese cabbage, as well as 50 mu of cherry trees, 50 mu of apple trees, and walnut trees. It serves as a production base integrating honeysuckle planting, seedling cultivation, ornamental picking, seedling sales, and production processing, and offers year-round vegetable picking, flowers blooming three seasons a year, and fruits available in all four seasons, making it an ecological leisure park.

Xiaokang Village in Xianggongzhuang Town, Zhangqiu, boasts the largest plain-based honeysuckle base in the province. The village has constructed a 15,000-square-meter artificial lake, hardened the park’s framework roads, installed water-saving irrigation equipment, built 100 mu of high-standard vegetable greenhouses, a 200-mu fruit and forest picking area, a 400-mu organic vegetable base for crops such as potatoes and new-type Chinese cabbage, and planted 50 mu of cherry trees, 50 mu of apple trees, and walnut trees. It has established a production base that integrates honeysuckle planting, seedling cultivation, ornamental picking, seedling sales, and production processing, as well as an ecological leisure park with year-round vegetable picking, flowers blooming three seasons a year, and fruits available in all four seasons.

Centered around the overall goals of “scientific development, urban agriculture, pastoral scenery, and modern farms,” Xiaokang Village has integrated park resources, improved infrastructure, and strived to create an urban agricultural demonstration park with complete production, living, and ecological functions, integrating leisure, experience, and sightseeing. The entire park spans 1,500 mu. An investment of 3.6 million yuan was made to construct 40 high-standard greenhouses and 100 small arch sheds; 1.2 million yuan was invested in installing greenhouse drip irrigation and honeysuckle sprinkler systems; 500,000 yuan was used to build 43 biogas pits of various sizes and 6 biogas slurry storage tanks; and 600,000 yuan was allocated to newly harden 2.7 kilometers of park roads, install 6 kilometers of curb stones, and carry out greening on both sides. At the same time, the development of branded agriculture has been closely integrated with leisure, tourism, culture, and other industries. The second Honeysuckle Picking Festival and Xianggongzhuang Town Characteristic Rural Tourism Promotion Conference were successfully held, attracting over 8,000 visitors from Jinan, Zibo, Laiwu, Tai’an, and Binzhou, forming a virtuous cycle of brand-driven growth, enhanced image, and increased income for farmers. It has been rated as one of the “Top Ten Urban Agricultural Parks in Jinan.”
