Scenic Area Title: Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Site (Provincial Level)

The Zhangqiu Leek Sightseeing Park and Zhangqiu Xiuhui Leek Characteristic Brand Base are situated on Nülang Mountain in Xiuhui Town, the birthplace of Zhangqiu leeks. The core area is centered around Wangjin Village, spanning 1,800 mu, and has inspired over 1,000 leek farmers in nearby towns to adopt organic leek cultivation. The base has registered the "Xiuhui" brand trademark and obtained organic food quality certification from the Ministry of Agriculture. It has successively been honored as a Xiuhui High-Quality Agricultural Product, one of Jinan’s Top Ten Agricultural Products, and one of Jinan’s First Batch of Intangible Cultural Heritage items. In 2008, the base was listed as a Jinan Modern Agricultural Characteristic Brand Base and recognized as one of the first Shandong Provincial Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Sites. In 2010 and 2011, it was consecutively awarded the title of “Top Ten Characteristic Brand Bases” at the Jinan Modern Agriculture “Hundred Flowers Award.”

The base has installed 60 solar insecticidal lamps, 36,000 yellow-blue sticky boards, and 1,800 sex pheromone lures; it has also constructed eight medium-sized biogas pits with a total volume of 600 cubic meters, 16 biogas slurry storage tanks totaling 320 cubic meters, and 50 mu of biogas slurry sprinkler irrigation facilities. The leeks recommended and entered for competition by the base have won the title of “Zhangqiu Leek Champion” for consecutive years, and the leeks produced here are also supplied as gift leeks across the country.
