Wang Tui Guan Site

The Wang Tui Guan Site is a Shandong Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Wang Tui Guan Site is located south of Wang Tui Guan Village, Ningjiabu Subdistrict Office, Zhangqiu District. The protected area of the cultural relic site extends: 200 meters east of the Wang (Tui Guan) – Yuan (Xin) rural road (following the rural road along the northern section), south to the east-west rural road north of Shenliu Village and its eastern extension, west to the Ning (Jiabu) – Shen (Liu Village) rural road, and north to the northern end of Wang Tui Guan Village and its east-west extension. The construction control zone is the same as the protected area.

The site covers an area of over 200,000 square meters, with a cultural deposit thickness of 2–3 meters. In 1989, partial excavations were carried out, revealing four stratified layers. Artifacts collected and unearthed include black pottery ding (tripods), jars, and vessel lids from the Longshan Culture made of sandy clay, as well as black and gray pottery jars, basins, and plates made of fine clay; red pottery ding and jars from the Yueshi Culture made of sandy clay, and gray pottery gui (food vessels), basins, and dou (bean pots) made of fine clay; gray and red pottery li (tripod cauldrons) made of fine clay from the Shang Dynasty; gray pottery gui, basins, jars, and sandy clay li from the Western Zhou Dynasty; and pottery yu (basins), dou, ding, hu (jars), and basins, as well as bronze swords, arrowheads, awls, and belt hooks from the Eastern Zhou Dynasty. It is an important Longshan and Yueshi cultural site in Jinan City.

On June 12, 1992, the Wang Tui Guan Site was designated as part of the second batch of provincial-level key cultural relics protection units by the People’s Government of Shandong Province.

Ningjiabu Subdistrict: Located in the central part of Zhangqiu City, Ningjiabu Subdistrict covers an area of 36.71 square kilometers, with 2,700 hectares of arable land. It governs 25 administrative villages, has a population of 33,574, a birth rate of 6.3‰, and a natural population growth rate of -2.3‰.
