The Sun Paper Culture Expo Museum serves as a science education base.

The Sun Paper Culture Museum in Yanzhou District, Jining City, is situated within the Sun Paper Industrial Park. It was invested and built by Shandong Sun Paper Co., Ltd. to promote Chinese papermaking culture, showcase the civilization of Chinese papermaking, and disseminate modern high-tech papermaking techniques. The museum covers a total area of 5,000 square meters, with a total investment of over 50 million yuan. The construction funds, operating expenses, and other costs are all provided by Shandong Sun Paper Co., Ltd. The museum began construction in May 2010 and officially opened in June 2011. Since its opening, it has received over 300,000 visitors. In early 2014, it was renamed the "Sun Paper Culture Museum in Yanzhou District, Jining City" with approval from the Shandong Provincial Bureau of Cultural Relics. It is recognized as a national science education base, a Shandong provincial industrial tourism demonstration site, a youth science education base, and an on-site teaching base for cadre education and training in Yanzhou District.

The overall design of the museum focuses on the historical evolution of paper, the papermaking process, and the development of the modern paper industry. It utilizes LED screens and electronic touchscreens for an immersive experience, allowing visitors to feel as though they are witnessing the transformation of papermaking techniques firsthand.

The museum is divided into twelve exhibition areas, including the history and culture of papermaking, low-carbon circular economy industries, and technology-driven enterprise development. Spanning two thousand years—from Cai Lun’s traditional papermaking methods to modern papermaking technologies, and from the founding of Sun Paper in 1982 to its present-day achievements—the exhibits take visitors on a journey through time via photos, texts, and video materials. They traverse the tunnel of papermaking history and step into the imaginative realm of paper’s future. While gaining insight into the grand vision of Sun Paper, visitors can also admire the endless charm of various forms of paper art and explore the wondrous possibilities of future paper applications.
