Yuan Di Temple in Yanzhou

Yuan Di Temple in Yanzhou is a cultural relic protection unit of Jining City.

Yuan Di Temple is located to the north of Yandian Village, Yandian Town (currently within the site of the town's tractor station). It was built during the Ming Dynasty and renovated in the Qing Dynasty. The main hall faces south and is constructed of brick and wood. It is five bays wide, measuring 17.25 meters in length and 10.5 meters in depth, with a flush gable roof covered originally in green glazed tiles (many of which were later replaced with gray tiles), supported by five purlins. The hall features corridors at both the front and rear, with bracket sets between the bays. The entire main hall is situated on a 1-meter-high brick and stone platform. The interior houses Ming Dynasty murals (now faded and unclear). Due to years of neglect, the hall has suffered severe damage. In 1985, the main hall of Yuan Di Temple was designated as a key cultural relic protection unit of Jining City.

According to the Yanzhou Government Document No. 28 (2009), the protected area extends 30 meters outward from the outer edge of the main hall of Yuan Di Temple. The construction control zone extends 50 meters outward from the boundary of the protected area.
