Anjiamiao Site

The Anjiamiao Site is a protected cultural heritage site of Shandong Province.

The Anjiamiao Site is located in the fields south of Anmiao Village, Da’an Town, Yanzhou District. The terrain is slightly elevated, with the site measuring 150 meters from north to south and 200 meters from east to west, covering an area of approximately 30,000 square meters. The cultural deposit is about 2.5 meters thick, and a large number of black pottery shards, gray pottery shards, and other relics are exposed on the ground. The collected samples mainly consist of pottery fragments from the Longshan Culture. Based on the artifacts exposed on the surface, the Anjiamiao Site is identified as a cultural remnant from the Neolithic period. The site currently has vegetable greenhouses, with the rest being farmland, and it is well preserved.

According to the Yanzhou Government Document No. 28 (2009), the protected area is defined with the marker stele as the center point, extending 150 meters east, 50 meters west, 100 meters south, and 50 meters north. The construction control zone extends 50 meters outward from the boundary of the protected area. The site was discovered during the 1982 cultural relics survey and was designated as a cultural heritage site of Jining City in 2001.

In 2013, the Anjiamiao Site was announced by the People’s Government of Shandong Province as part of the fourth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites in Shandong.
