Gaowu Bridge

Gaowu Bridge is a cultural heritage site protected by the Jining Municipal Government.

Gaowu Bridge is located in Gaoyi Village, Xinyi Town, Yanzhou District. It is an ancient structure, categorized as ancient architecture.

On December 26, 2016, the Jining Municipal People's Government designated it as part of the fifth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Jining.

Xinyi Town: Xinyi Town is located approximately 20 kilometers northwest of Yanzhou District, covering an area of 66 square kilometers with a population of 50,179. It lies on the alluvial plain of the Yellow River, at an elevation of 30 meters, and has a temperate monsoon climate. The area is abundant in wheat, corn, silkworm cocoons, and green onions, and also boasts rich reserves of yellow sand and groundwater. As part of the land of Confucius and Mencius, it is one of the most populous and largest towns in Yanzhou. The local economy is relatively developed, situated at a key crossroads among four surrounding counties and cities, which gives it a highly strategic location and well-developed transportation. All villages are connected by asphalt roads, with access to program-controlled telephones and cable television. The sericulture and silk industry is thriving, earning it the reputation of being the “Hometown of Silkworm and Silk.”
