Yijia Bridge

Yijia Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Yanzhou District.

Yijia Bridge is located at the border between Zhai San Village and Zhai Si Village in Yandian Town, Yanzhou District. The two villages are separated only by a ditch, and the bridge is a Qing Dynasty structure. Yijia Bridge runs from north to south, measuring 18 meters in length, 4.5 meters in width, and 3.56 meters in height. It is a three-arch stone bridge constructed with block stones, and its deck is paved with bluestone slabs. At the central points on both the eastern and western sides of the two bridge piers, there are carved stone dragon heads, and the central eastern side of the bridge body bears an engraved inscription reading “Longmen” (Dragon Gate). The bridge is largely well-preserved today. According to local villagers, Zhai Village originally had eight stone bridges, and Yijia Bridge is the only one that remains. This discovery holds significant value for the study of bridge architectural features from the Qing Dynasty. In October 2009, it was approved and announced by the People’s Government of Yanzhou District as part of the third batch of Yanzhou District Cultural Relic Protection Units.

Zhai San Village: (1) Basic Information. Zhai San Village is located in the eastern part of Yandian Town, south of Yanyan Road, about 4 kilometers from the town government seat. It covers a total area of 1.2 square kilometers, with over 2,300 mu of arable land, a population of 1,871, and 513 households. The village is divided into six villager groups, with per capita farmland of 1.2 mu. Zhai San Village has relatively strong economic development. In terms of crop farming, it mainly focuses on nursery stock cultivation, with over 1,800 mu of nursery stock currently. The main sources of collective income for the village are rent from land occupied by enterprises, contract fees from the village-owned brick kiln, and contract fees from the village-owned woodland.
