Zhenqiao Site

The Zhenqiao Site is a cultural relic protection unit of Yanzhou District.

The Zhenqiao Site is located to the south of Zhenqiao Village, Caohé Town, Yanzhou City, covering an area of approximately 30,000 square meters. The cultural deposit is about 1.5 meters thick, with exposed ash pits on the ground surface. Collected pottery from the Xia culture includes black clay pottery, gray clay pottery, and sand-tempered gray pottery, featuring decorative patterns such as string patterns and raised ridge patterns. Artifact types include pots, zun vessels, and other utensils. In March 2003, it was announced as a Yanzhou City-level cultural relic protection unit. According to the Yanzhou Government Document No. 28 (2009), the protected area is defined as extending 50 meters east, 100 meters west, 100 meters south, and 100 meters north from the marker stele. The construction control zone extends 50 meters outward from the outer boundary of the protected area.

Caohé Town: Located in the northwest of Yanzhou City, Caohé Town has a long history and is the hometown of Luo Fu, as well as the legendary site where one of the Eight Immortals, Marshal Cao, cultivated immortality. Covering an area of 47.4 square kilometers, it has 49,000 mu of arable land, administers 31 administrative villages, and has a total population of 32,000. In 2002, the local fiscal revenue reached 5.86 million yuan, an increase of 16% over the previous year; the gross domestic product hit 520 million yuan, up 10%; fixed asset investment amounted to 92.8 million yuan, a rise of 16%; and the per capita net income of farmers reached 3,560 yuan, an increase of 6%.
