The Zheng Family Embroidery Tower

The Zheng Family Embroidery Tower is a cultural relic protection unit of Jining City.

The Zheng Family Embroidery Tower is located in the center of Yandian Village, Yandian Town, Yanzhou District, and is a late Qing Dynasty building. The tower faces south and has two floors, with a width of three bays spanning 10.7 meters and a depth of 5.3 meters. The eaves are 6 meters high, and the roof ridge is 8.5 meters high, with walls 0.65 meters thick. It is built with a brick, stone, and timber structure, featuring external brick and stone masonry and internal earthen walls. The roof has a flush gable style, originally with tubular tiles, now replaced with modern tiles. The first floor has doors at both the front and back, along with two windows; the second floor has three windows and wooden flooring. The main structure remains largely intact, with beams and foundations still very solid. This discovery holds significant value for studying the architectural style and characteristics of late Qing Dynasty residences as well as the local cultural and historical heritage. In October 2009, it was approved and announced as part of the third batch of Yanzhou Municipal Cultural Relic Protection Units by the Yanzhou Municipal People’s Government, and in November 2012, it was designated as a Jining Municipal Cultural Relic Protection Unit.
