Shenguantun Site

The Shenguantun Site is a protected cultural heritage site of Jining City.

The Shenguantun Site is located to the south of Shenguantun Village, Xinyan Town, Yanzhou City, covering an area of approximately 15,000 square meters with a cultural deposit thickness of about 1.5 meters. Gray pits are exposed on the ground surface. Collected pottery includes sand-tempered red pottery and sand-tempered gray pottery, featuring decorative patterns such as string patterns and rope patterns, and vessel types such as jars, ding (tripod cauldrons), and li (tripod cooking vessels). In March 2003, it was announced as a Yanzhou City-level cultural relic protection unit. According to the Yanzhou Government Document No. 28 (2009), the protected area is defined with the marker stele as the center point, extending 100 meters east, 50 meters west, 100 meters south, and 50 meters north. The construction control zone extends 50 meters outward from the boundary of the protected area in all directions. In November 2012, it was announced as a Jining City-level cultural relic protection unit.
