Tuntou Site

The Tuntou Site is a cultural relic protection unit of Jining City.

The Tuntou Site is located on both sides of Zhongyuan Gully, west of Tuntou Village in Yandian Town. It stretches 200 meters from north to south and 100 meters from east to west, with exposed remains such as ash pits and burned earth on the surface. It was discovered during the 1982 cultural relics survey. The site belongs to the Dawenkou Culture and the Shang-Zhou Culture periods. The cultural deposit is about 2.5 meters thick, and collected artifact samples include pottery shards such as red clay pottery bowls and pots, red sandy clay tripods and jars, gray clay pottery pots, and gray sandy clay vessel lids, as well as stone axes, stone shovels, and stone clubs. The upper layer of the site has been damaged due to land leveling. In 1985, it was designated as a Key Cultural Relic Protection Unit of Jining City. According to the Yanzhou Government Document (2009) No. 28, the protected area is defined with the marker stele as the center point, extending 50 meters east, 50 meters west, 100 meters south, and 100 meters north. The construction control zone extends 50 meters outward from the boundary of the protected area.

Yandian Town: Yandian Town is located at the junction of Wenshang, Rencheng, the Jining High-Tech Zone, and Yanzhou, covering an area of 102 square kilometers. It administers four management areas and 66 administrative villages, with a population of 68,000, including 17,000 households, of which 65,000 are agricultural residents.

Yandian Town has significant transportation and locational advantages, abundant resources, and well-developed environmental infrastructure. The primary industry, agriculture, mainly features characteristic "planting, breeding, and processing" of meat ducks, chili peppers, and seedlings. The secondary industry mainly includes food processing, adhesive tapes, chemicals, machinery, construction materials, etc., accounting for over 70% of the tertiary industry and 90% of local fiscal revenue comes from the secondary industry...
